Cordell & Cordell was co-founded in 1990 by Joseph E. Cordell and his wife, Yvonne. The firm grew out of a straightforward observation: many men going through divorce felt the family court system was working against them, and few firms were prepared to advocate specifically for them. That focus on fair representation became the foundation of the firm — and it still defines how we work today Courts today take a more balanced view of custody and support than they did 35 years ago. The people who turn to Cordell & Cordell have broadened too. Today we represent individuals and parents from a wide range of circumstances. What hasn’t changed is our commitment to each client. We believe every client deserves to be heard and represented based on their individual situations — not assumptions about gender, parenting roles, or family structure. Whatever your situation, our attorneys are here to help you understand your options, prepare for what’s ahead, and move forward with greater clarity and confidence.
