Youth Escort Policy
We welcome all youth to Bridge Street Town Centre. We also encourage families to spend time with their children at the property. For the safety and enjoyment of all we have established a Youth Escort Policy:
The Youth Escort Policy requires that after 6:00 p.m. Friday-Saturday, all youths age 17 and under must be accompanied by a parent or guardian who is 21 years or older, or they will be asked to leave the property. After the retail stores close, no one may be permitted to loiter or congregate at length in large groups in the common areas. Rather, we welcome guests of all ages to enjoy our theater, entertainment, and restaurants, as each venue’s policy permits.
- How will you identify children age 17 and under?
- In order to enforce our policy, we ask guests to carry a photo ID with proof of age. Acceptable forms of identification include a valid Driver’s License, State or Military ID card, Passport or Visa.
What if the individual is unable to provide appropriate identification?
The individual will be asked to leave the property until he/she can return with appropriate ID or parent or guardian
How is the policy enforced?
Our Security staff monitors the policy beginning at 6:00 p.m. on Friday and Saturday. If it is determined that an individual or group is 17 years old or under and is NOT accompanied by an adult after 6:00 p.m., they will be asked to leave the property per the policy. They may return with a parent or guardian of an appropriate age. If a group of any age is loitering after the close of the retail stores, they also will be asked to leave the property or must patronize one of the entertainment venues still open. Any individual refusing to leave the property when asked may be banned from the property and is subject to prosecution for trespassing.
What does it mean if an individual is banned?
This means that the individual is barred from the property for 6 months via issuance of a trespass warning from the Huntsville Police Department. If it is determined that a banned individual has returned to the property prior to the expiration of the 6-month time period, that individual may be arrested for trespassing and taken from the property by the Huntsville Police Department.
Is the policy "one child to one adult?"
No. A parent 18 years or older may escort all of his or her children. One guardian adult 21 years or older may escort up to 3 youths. The youths must stay with the adult.
What if I work in the center?
You may travel to and from your place of employment but you may not remain in the common area.
